Sometimes I find myself sitting around wondering why I am not painting when I have no money. Seems I should paint every day because if I want to sell art, I can't sell paintings I don't have. Still, the urge to procrastinate is my biggest obstacle. When I catch myself in that state the best thing I can do to jump start the process is to grab the sketchbook. If that doesn't do the trick I just start prepping canvas until I have a stack of backgrounds ready to go. By that time I have usually pushed myself through whatever I was stuck on before. I have to push myself sometimes. If I don't do the basics and stay in action I will get stuck and stay stuck.
