I sometimes get requests for commissions where I am asked to paint something outside my comfort zone or maybe things I simply wouldn’t paint if left to my own ideas. This is part of being a professional artist and you learn to always say yes even if you don’t quite know how it will turn out. This is where you push yourself and grow. Taking a job that at first you don’t think you would like to do can bring out new things in your art and yourself that you may miss tapping into otherwise.
